October

It's hard to believe the first month of school is coming to a close! We've been working hard on our names, alphabet and numbers and have had some interesting bug inquiries. We continue to work on these as well throughout October. We're also learning how to be good friends and problem solve using our WITS (Walk away, Ignore, Talk it out, Seek help). As the cooler weather approaches, it's always a good idea to practice putting on coats and doing up zippers. We will keep you posted as we explore new inquiries throughout the month!

Scholastic Clarification

Scholastic Update

There was a slight glitch in the online Scholastic ordering. It should be fixed now so if you were having difficulty ordering online, you should be able to do so now. Sorry for any confusion!

Library

Today we got to have our first school library visit with Ms. K! Students are bringing home one book from the library to read. They are due back in one week. We will be visiting the library every 2 weeks to have a story and sign-out a book (which will be due one week later).

First Scholastic Order

The first Scholastic order of the year is going home today. Here are some reminders if you choose to place an order:

 If you choose to order any books from Scholastics, please fill in the forms at the back of each booklet and return them (with your child's name on them) in your child(ren)'s mailbag along with the payment number. You may pay online (all information can be found on the Scholastic book order forms); however you must pay before sending in the form with the chosen books as I need to have the payment number. Cash will not be accepted, however if you are not comfortable paying online we will accept cheques. If you write cheques you can amalgamate the amounts from each magazine into 1 cheque amount (you do not need to write separate cheques for each booklet handed out each month). 

This year you will also have the option of both ordering and purchasing books online (details can be found on the Scholastic booklets that will be sent home each month).
